On Walkabout At: Outdoor World In Denver, Colorado

When buying my outdoor gear I usually tend to buy the stuff I need at the local REI store here in Colorado Springs.  However, I recently had a meeting I needed to attend in Denver and I noticed just off of I-70 on my way to the meeting a large shopping center that had a big store called Outdoor World.  I made a mental note when I saw it to go an check the place out after my meeting.  So after the meeting I drove over to the large shopping center called the Shops at Northfield Stapleton which was built over what once part of Denver’s old Stapleton Airport:

Once I pulled into the parking lot for Outdoor World I noticed that the place is actually run by Bass Pro Shops:

From the outside this place just looked absolutely huge and once I went inside it felt even bigger.  The first thing that really catches the eye of someone walking into the store is this huge rock display with various stuffed animals:

There was even a waterfall that flowed into a large tank with various fish in it:

I would at a later date bring my daughter here and she absolutely loved looking at the fish and stuffed animals that are on display throughout the store:

The store is two floors in size so this allows it to be packed with every type of outdoor item you can think of:

The store has everything you could possibly think of for fishing, hunting, and camping.  This place is so huge it even has a section where you can check out boats and ATV’s:

If all this wasn’t enough there is even a restaurant inside the building run by the Islamorada Fish Company:

I haven’t eaten at the restaurant yet so when I do I will definitely write a review about it.  However, Outdoor World really is the place to go for people who love the great outdoors because it has absolutely everything you need in one place.  Even if you have no plans to buy anything this is still a great place just to walk around and check out in conjunction with a visit to the Shops and Northfield which is an impressive shopping center in of itself.
