Sea Sheppard Eco-loons Resume Violence

It didn’t take long for the eco-loons to return to violence again:

ANTI-whaling activists admit to throwing about 12 stink bombs onto a Japanese whaling ship after two of its crew were released, and are planning more attacks.

Two members of the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society, who were being detained on the whaling boat Yushin Maru No. 2, were yesterday handed to an Australian customs’ vessel then returned to their ship, the Steve Irwin.

The Japanese Whaling Association (JWA) has accused the activists of throwing acid onto the sister vessel of the Yushin Maru No. 2 – the Yushin Maru No. 3 – overnight.    [….]

But he confirmed the group launched a “retaliatory strike” of butyric acid “stink bombs” at the Yushin Maru No. 2, about one hour after activists Benjamin Potts and Giles Lane were transferred to the Australian customs boat, the Oceanic Viking.

Butyric acid is a non-corrosive substance and smells like rancid butter.  [News.com.au]

One of these years the constant violence from the Sea Sheppard eco-loons is going to lead to someone getting seriously injured or killed and cause a major international incident that the Australian government would be held liable for, for allowing these eco-terrorists a safe harbor in Melbourne to conduct these activities.

What else I find interesting is that the Australian media has failed to explain the whole story about how the two Sea Sheppard loons were detained by the Japanese.  I keep hearing they were detained after delivering a letter of protest with no mention they entangled a rope in the ships propeller and threw acid bombs at the Japanese crew before forcibly boarding the vessel.

It looks like the eco-loon violence will have to wait as they have now lost sight of the Japanese whalers though they sound like they wish they could commit violence against Greenpeace of all groups:

Mr Watson said the Steve Irwin was again trying to find the Japanese whaling fleet in order to launch more attacks.

“Greenpeace knows where they are but Greenpeace won’t tell us where they are, which I am a little annoyed with because if they start killing whales tomorrow I am going to hold Greenpeace responsible for that because Greenpeace knows that we could stop them.

Them are fighting words.  Now that is showdown I would like to see, dope smoking hippies against dope smoking eco-loons.

Speaking of Greenpeace here is an update on their actions:

CONCERN is mounting in Japan about its whaling program’s "fake science", Greenpeace Australia said today.

Greenpeace last night photographed a banner bearing the Japanese kanji symbol for “fake” that activists placed against the hull of Japanese whaling factory ship Nisshin Maru.

“In Japan there is now growing concern about this fake science, giving new opportunities to show how scandalous it is in order to close it down for good,” Greenpeace Japan anti-whaling campaigner Sakyo Noda said.

“For the past week we’ve stopped the whaling program in the Southern Ocean,” he said.

That’s interesting that "concern is mounting in Japan" when I just went through all the major Japanese dailies and the only concern I could find were articles about the attacks on the whalers that I mentioned prior.  Japan is a country I know very well and the vast majority of the people there do not care about whaling.  However, I can tell you that what the vast majority of the people will not stand for is a ban on whaling because of their government backing down from western eco-imperialism led by an eco-terrorist group like Sea Sheppard.

That is why I have been saying over and over again that this is an issue that could be easily negotiated, but actions by the likes of Sea Sheppard and to a lesser extent Greenpeace and their foreign governmental allies makes conditions for such a negotiated settlement impossible.
