Aussie scientists at work:
PREGNANT women should be teetotallers and men should limit themselves to two standard alcoholic drinks a day, according to new recommended safe-drinking guidelines.
The guidelines were announced today by the National Health and Medical Research Council less than two months after Australian Bureau of Statistics research showed about one-in-eight adults – about two million Australians – drink at a risky or high-risk level in a typical week. [AAP]
Only one in eight adults in Australia over drink? The guys I know would take that as a slap in the face.
